Get to know Philip

Phil’s journey into web development started by chance. During a job interview for a sales role, a senior developer recognised his potential and offered him the opportunity to learn web development instead. What began as a happy accident quickly turned into a lifelong passion.

Since then, Phil has built an impressive career. He joined Trio three years ago and has since become a cornerstone of the development team, always ready to lend a hand or share advice. He works closely with designers and project managers to turn creative concepts into functional, high-performing sites.

At Trio, Phil is known for his versatility, handling everything from full website builds to restoring hacked sites. He’s particularly adaptable and curious about new tools, especially AI.

Looking ahead, Phil’s excited about how AI and automation will continue to shape web development. He’s especially interested in the rise of hyper-personalised websites and AI-powered assistants that create more intuitive, tailored experiences for users.

“You can’t skip the basics and expect to build something solid. Mastering fundamentals like HTML and CSS opened the door for me to everything else and that foundation still shapes how I work today.”
