Provenance Inns owns a collection of luxury venues, including inns, restaurants, and lodges in Yorkshire. One of these nine venues is West Acre Lodge, an exclusive-use retreat in North Yorkshire.
Provenance Inns selected Trio Media to strengthen the West Acre Lodge website and reflect the luxury this retreat offers its guests. As their existing hosting provider, it was a natural progression to partner with them to achieve a full website design, build, and copywriting overhaul.
West Acre Lodge’s previous website showcased its mesmerising location well but fell short in selling luxury and converting visitors.
One significant issue was its complex navigation, which made the user experience (UX) poor. The website also suffered from slow loading times, accessibility issues and poor responsiveness. These UX barriers increased the bounce rate, leaving the rest of the website low on traffic.
The entire website required a revamp – from its unresponsive build to its outdated design. Alongside this, the web copy didn’t effectively position West Acre Lodge as an exclusive-use experience, which resulted in failing to attract the target audience.
Provenance Inns wanted to modernise West Acre Lodge while reminiscing its 19th-century past. Trio Media was brought in to overhaul the site design, build, and web content, positioning it as a luxurious retreat for exclusive guests.

Premium web copy
West Acre Lodge offers high-end lodging to corporate and family parties through an exclusive and personalised service, so the copy had to reflect this. The new website needed to feel luxurious without taking away its home-away-from-home appeal.
Working alongside the SEO team, our copywriter revised each page with fresh content that showcased the quality of their lodges, location and the guest services the team provide. We conducted keyword research, optimising web copy to improve the website’s search ranking and visibility.
Reimagined web design
We wanted to ensure that the website’s aesthetic reflected the luxury of the property it represented. To achieve this, we built a custom WordPress website, incorporating a rich array of imagery, an interactive map and 360 virtual tour to allow visitors to visually immerse themselves.
We also refreshed the brand with an adapted colour palette that crafted a sleek, impactful presence against the seamless navigation. We paired this with fresh imagery to capture the beauty of this exclusive property and its connection with nature.
Each page included a new layout with carefully placed call-to-actions (CTAs) and contact forms to encourage booking enquiries and tours of the grounds.
After the WordPress website project went live, Provenance Inns reported increased potential leads and bookings for West Acre Lodge.
