Everything you need to know about LinkedIn stories…

LinkedIn has been teasing its users with the idea of stories and it has now been rolled out in the UK. The new feature was launched a few days ago and users are jumping on board. Here’s what you need to know;

LinkedIn Stories allows both users and companies to share pictures and short video clips to their profile. You must be page admin of your company LinkedIn page in order to have access to this feature. Just like on Facebook and Instagram, stories posted last 24 hours. LinkedIn has only allowed access to stories on the mobile app, so if you don’t already have the app on your phone, here’s more reason to download it.

When you post a story it is visible to all your connections and followers. You can share your story in a private message to any of your connections and your connections can also share your story to any of their connections.

If there’s anyone you don’t want to share your stories with, there is the option to block a connection’s or follower’s profile. One you’ve blocked their profile they will no longer be able to see your stories.

Another feature, similar to Facebook and Instagram, is stickers! LinkedIn has a select few stickers available to add to your stories. They have also introduced Question of the Day, which changes daily and can be used to engage with your connections and followers.

If you’re wondering what video and image specs are best for LinkedIn stories, they’ve suggested the following to make it easier…

  • 1080 (w) x 1920 (h) px
  • Frame: 30 FPS, square pixels
  • Supported file types: H264, MP4

 Image specs
