How an integrated marketing strategy drove festive demand
For the last three years, we’ve supported Stockeld Park with an integrated marketing strategy designed to drive visibility, demand and ticket sales year-round.
Stockeld Park is one of Yorkshire’s best-known family attractions, with Christmas among its busiest times of the year. For this season, our goal was simple: capture early festive search demand and secure ticket sales ahead of the competition.
Through SEO, content writing and paid media, we helped Stockeld Park build long-term visibility and an uplift of Christmas ticket sales that would continue to strengthen year after year.
How it all started
When we began working with Stockeld Park ahead of the 2023 festive season, the challenge wasn’t simply selling more tickets. The adventure park needed a joint marketing campaign to increase visibility before tickets went on sale, compete for high-intent searches and convert demand across both organic and paid channels.
Each Christmas campaign built on the success of the previous one, creating a strategy that became stronger, more efficient and more effective year after year. Now, in 2026, we’ve added AI SEO and TikTok ads to expand the reach even further.
How we built a three-year performance marketing strategy
Our work combined multiple marketing channels into one integrated campaign, with each supporting the next. We carried out:
- SEO strategy and technical optimisation
- Seasonal content planning and blog writing
- Google Ads campaign management
- Meta Ads campaign management
- Landing page optimisation
- Website migration support and consultancy
- Ongoing campaign analysis and strategy
2023 – Building the foundations for growth
Starting in August 2023, we had just weeks to prepare for Stockeld Park’s busiest trading period. We inherited an ageing website with technical SEO issues, duplicate seasonal pages and limited visibility beyond branded searches.
While improving the site’s technical foundations, we produced seasonal content targeting high-intent Christmas searches and launched Google and Meta ad campaigns as tickets went on sale. We continuously refined creative, tested new copy and worked closely with the Stockeld team to introduce fresh photography and video, keeping campaigns engaging while maximising ticket sales.
2024 – Protecting ticket sales during a website migration
With the foundations in place, we started writing seasonal organic content in summer so it had time to rank ahead of peak demand. This involved shifting toward commercial and transactional terms so our SEO work helped drive traction, rather than just awareness.
Prior to the ticket launch, Stockeld Park migrated to a new website, which required us to work closely with their development team to help protect the SEO authority built during 2023. Our SEO website migration support included:
- Conducting a full SEO audit to identify top-performing pages
- Mapping out and implementing URL redirects
- Preserving metadata and on-page optimisation across key landing pages
- Monitoring site health and SEO performance post-migration
By carefully planning the migration, we preserved the authority of key landing pages and ensured the new website launched with minimal disruption to organic performance.
Because of the website migration, ticket sales were launched later than expected. This meant adapting our paid media strategy and adjusting budgets, messaging and creative to meet shifting demand. Doing this allowed us to deliver campaigns that made maximum impact when tickets launched.
2025 – Scaling what worked
By 2025, we kept key landing pages up to date following the last campaign to help them retain authority year-round. By combining this evergreen strategy with a growing focus on AI search, we secured position 1 rankings for core commercial keywords before tickets went on sale.
For paid media, we launched Meta and Google Ad campaigns around staggered releases – like Gold, Silver and specific experience tickets – to keep messaging relevant and maximise budget efficiency.
Three years of measurable growth
Over three Christmas campaigns, Stockeld Park consistently strengthened visibility across both organic and paid search, reaching more customers at a key time of year.
Organic performance evolved from relying primarily on branded searches to competing for high-intent festive keywords that families use when planning Christmas days out. Over the years, the park now:
- Ranks on page 1 for 172 Christmas keywords, with 69 in the top three positions
- Appears in 81 Google AI Overview placements
- Has improved site health from 65 to 95/100
- Generated over 125,000+ organic conversions
Google Ads purchases grew from 2,173 in 2023 to 9,617 in 2025 while reducing the overall cost per acquisition to just £1.20. Meta campaigns also more than doubled purchases, increasing from 3,873 to 8,182 over the same period.
Most importantly, each campaign started from a stronger position than the last, creating a repeatable performance marketing strategy that continues to deliver long-term growth.
