Namaskar, Marhaba, Hallo and Hello!
Did you know that Trio has a mix of various cultures? Each country’s culture brings its delightful flair and charm, along with a delicious variety of cuisines, to our office.
By having a diverse team, we’ve opened our agency to incredible opportunities to celebrate our team’s culture. We’ve learnt a lot from them – the incredible stories, fun activities and meaningful rituals. So we thought, why not share this beautiful experience with everyone?
Below, we’ll break down all the festivals we’ve had the opportunity to celebrate so far and how we’ve learned from them. As you read, you’ll notice we eat a lot. That’s because we align all the celebrations with the weekly lunch organised every Tuesday!
What have we celebrated so far?
Festival of Lights
Diwali celebrates the victory of good over evil. Hazel started the celebration with a presentation explaining the mythological tale of Ramayana, while we feasted on delicious Indian street food and painted diyas. In the end, she sprung a surprise quiz, testing our knowledge about the story. Us being us, we aced it.

Breaking the fourth wall here – I felt very welcomed, especially since it’d only been 2 months since I joined. It was a celebration away from home, and it felt great to share a piece of my culture with everyone at Trio!
Sláinte Mhath!
We celebrated Burns Day the Scots way. Under Darren’s guidance, we set up a spread of finger bites produced by Scottish businesses. To throw a twist at the team, we had an impromptu game reminiscent of all our beloved childhood games – pin the hat on the donkey. Yes, you heard that right.

It was a very close finish, and Fin won by a smidge. It was a fun way of celebrating a festival with everyone eager to win.
Chinese New Year Goodness
We welcomed the year of the snake with a special celebration. Beth, along with Catherine, put together a delicious array of traditional Chinese New Year snacks.
Spring rolls, skewered prawns and tofu bites are just a few dishes that we enjoyed. But the day really tied together when Catherine gave us a quick tutorial on how to make a red paper lanterns. Out came the craft paper, stapler and scissors, and down went everyone’s head to focus on perfecting their lantern.

Safe to say, some of us were born with the creative gene, and some tried, but the results were perfect.
What’s in store for the future?
In March, we’re geared up for Holi and Eid. They are two very different cultures, yet very vibrant. We can’t wait to see what Hazel and Mahmoud have lined up for us.
Keep an eye out for our socials – Instagram, LinkedIn, TikTok and Facebook. Come see what we get up to in the office!
